Norshor
The Norshor Theatre is a historic art deco movie theatre that opened in 1941. Unfortunately, it became victim to more modern theatres in the 1980’s and has had multiple people try to create businesses in it since then.
While I was working at the Duluth News Tribune, the mezzanine held a strip club called the Norshor Experience. I was on the sales team for the salesman who had the Norshor in his area. I enjoyed working for this client because they gave me creative freedom as long as we could get it through the channels at the paper. I increased the ad spending they were doing and they had such success that they opened the main theatre on the weekends to music, as seen by the ad at the bottom.
